8 1/2 Inch Curly Maple Wooden Bowl

This is a nice shallow Curly Maple wood bowl.

This bowl is approximately 2 3/8 inches high X 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The foot is 2 3/4 inches wide and has been turned with a little concave to add stability. Near the rim on one side you can see a spot that is a bark inclusion that is approximately 1 inch long but doesn't go all the way through the bowl. What's a bark inclusion? Well I'm glad that you asked. A bark inclusion is an area of bark that the tree has grown around. It doesn't go through the bowl so it only adds interest to the bowl. This wooden bowl has a rounded rim that gently slopes into the bowl. The bowl has been finished with an all natural Walnut oil and wax finish which makes it food safe and then it has been buffed to bring it to a nice luster.

The bowl that you see pictured here is the actual bowl that you will receive and care instructions will be included.

This bowl was hand turned on a lathe using only hand tools and was made in Maine with pride.

The bowl would make a great candy dish, small fruit bowl, a bowl to hold your keys or maybe a spare change holder.
