Summer of turning day 8
Today’s post is going to be brief. I haven’t felt good all day and I won’t bore you with the details.
Today’s piece is a matching Walnut Strout mill for yesterday’s Ash Strout mill. The mill is 6 inches tall and can have either a salt or pepper mill mechanism in it. The shape is modeled after a mannequin from a long time ago.
The Strout mills are named for Shirley and Dave Strout. They were like a second set of parents to me and helped guide me through some times in my life when I needed something extra. Somehow they knew that and gave it unfalteringly, no matter what I did or how much trouble I got their oldest son into.
