Day 20 and Apple Wood Bowl
Today’s turning
This bowl was turned from Apple wood. It’s been sitting in my shop waiting to be finished up for about 5 years. Can you say procrastination? The bowl is approximately 8 1/4 x 2 inches and has some very nice figure to it. The bowl does have a small crack in it which is very common with apple. The crack doesn’t hurt the structure of the bowl but it does mean that the bowl won’t hold liquid. Although the bowl would be great as a fruit bowl, popcorn bowl or candy dish.
If you would like to learn more about this Apple bowl you can visit my Dailey Woodworking store on Etsy by clicking here. We are in the process of building a new and improved website for Dailey Woodworking so I won’t be putting anything new on the site for about a month when I hope to début the new site.
As always, don’t forget to sign up for our Dailey Woodworking newsletter by going here.
